The invention relates to a device for dosing granular or powdered bulk materials, in particular for use in plastics processing machines. The motor-driven star feeder (14) is rotatably mounted about a horizontal axis in a housing recess (12) the casing of which opens upward on the inlet side and downward on the outlet side, and has radially open dosing chambers (86). The bulk material is stored in a container above a feed hopper fitted with a stirring mechanism (18). The feed hopper charges the bulk material into a filling shaft (16) on the inlet side of the star feeder. To prevent the star feeder from jamming due to particles of the bulk material entering the spaces in the housing walls, a cutter plate (72) which extends across the inlet opening (24), whose wedge-shaped blades (74) reach to the immediate vicinity of the periphery of the star feeder (14) and which moves in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation, is arranged in the region of the rear delimiting edge (82) of the inlet opening (24), viewed in the direction of rotation of the star feeder. |
