<p>PURPOSE:To enhance printing grade and to facilitate control by parallelly providing thermal heads in the number corresponding to the number of colors and setting the heating temps. due to the respective thermal heads so as to respecitively differentiate the same corresponding to the melting points of respective inks. CONSTITUTION:Thermal heads 51, 52 generating the quantities of heat corresponding to the respective color ink layers 2, 3 of a thermal transfer ribbon 1 are parallelly provided between idle rollers 12, 13, and fed paper 6 to be transferred and the fed thermal transfer ribbon 1 are pressed to respective platen rollers 71, 72 revolving in synchronous relation to a feed system. Next, the thermal head 51 receiving a printing order from a control part emits the quantity of heat required in the melting of the low m.p. ink layer 2 on the thermal transfer ribbon 1. By this heat value, the low m.p. ink layer 2 is successively transferred to the paper 6 to be transferred in matching relation to the revolution of the platen roller 71 at a constant speed. The paper 6 to be transferred after or during the printing of the first low m.p. color is continuously clamped between the thermal head 52 and the platen roller 72. Since the temp. of the thermal head 52 is set so as to be higher than that of the thermal head 51, a high m.p. ink layer 3 is melted to be transferred to the paper 6 to be transferred.</p> |
