A tiltable hip-bath 10 with short structural length L1 and WC + bidet + drying function 51. The tilt movements are obtained by means of changes in the centre of gravity, without external power source. With a person sitting in the bath, the centre of gravity lies behind the axis of pivoting and, after releasing a lock, it is tilted to its rearwardly inclined position and locked. The bath tub is then filled with water and a bath is taken. The water introduced displaces the common centre of gravity to a point in front of the axis of inclination so that releasing of the lock pivots the tub back to its upright position. The locking is done by means of a hydraulic cylinder 40, 41 with control valve 42. The hip-bath 10 has a movable rocker axle 30 placed at a low position and a vertically inclining guide rail 23 secured in a (vertically adjustable) frame 20. The short structural length L1 is achieved by the fact that the axis of inclination also moves in the longitudinal direction of the hip-bath during the pivoting movement. Low access via a foot board 52 in front of the hip-bath 10 makes the hip-bath suitable for providing with an integrated WC + bidet + drying function 51 in the seat 14. A fan 55 removes bad odour. A prefill tank 50 with thermometer permits rapid filling with suitably warm bath water. Twin outlets 12, 54 permit rapid emptying of the hip-bath 10. <IMAGE> |
