<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a single ply polyester fabric comprising multifilament warp yarns and monofilament weft yarns, having a specific warp, a specified weft density and a linear warp yarn structure and usable for a belt useful in an automatic truck loading and unloading system. CONSTITUTION: This polyester fabric comprises 1,000 denier multifilament polyester warp yarns and monofilament polyester weft yarns having 0.4 mm diameter and has a thread count of >=200 ends/inch warp and >=18 picks/inch weft and further <2% warp yarn crimps, 1% stretch at a pull of 60 pounds per inch of width, 2% stretch at a pull of 160 pounds per inch of the width and 3% stretch at a pull of 255 pounds per inch of the width. The fabric is impregnated with a nitrile latex having a high polyvinyl chloride latex content and the top surface thereof is then coated with a polyurethane coating to afford a belt having a width of about 7 to about 8.5 feet and useful in an automatic truck loading and unloading system capable of moving about 15 to 40 tons load.</p> |
