PURPOSE: To obtain a heat exchanger to be mass produced with high efficiency by arranging the inlet, and outlet of a pocket at two corners of the heat exchanger having inlets communicating with corner outlets and arranging a row of inlets on the neighboring side of each corner and a row of outlets on the other side of the corner. CONSTITUTION: Each pocket is rectangular and contains two integrated baffles 5, 6 made of a continuous metal toil wound sinuously. The baffles 5, 6 extend from one side of respective partitions and abut against the opposite faces of adjacent partitions to serve as spacers in addition to battle function. Air flow flowing through the pocket is guided by the battles 5, 6 to an S-shaped three way channel 15 formed as shown by arrows 13, 14. A series of openings are formed by the spaces between short strip sections in the separated direction and a multi-branch pipe 15 communicate with alternating pockets in a stack through the series of openings. |
