PURPOSE: To eliminate the directionality of breaking strength by providing a specific hood mechanism stretching a fabric between a platform and an upper traveling path of a screen and guiding the fiber on a preparatorily selected surface area of the upper traveling path of the screen. CONSTITUTION: A screen 15 is horizontally moved below a platform 11 and a vacuum is applied to an opening 27 of the platform 11 with a suction box 22 through a hood mechanism 28. The hood mechanism 28 has side panels 31, 32 hinged to the platform and the lower edges 31', 32' of the panels 31, 32 are slidably engaged with the inner face of vertical plates 35, 36 with a spring 39. The gap between the plates 35, 36 is adjusted with a rod 37 and the angle of the panels 31, 32 is adjusted to adjust the width of the fiber mat to be deposited on the screen 15. |
