PURPOSE:To facilitate getting on/off a car and the connection/disconnection of a set belt as well by providing a belt arm which is freely rotated forward and backward in the direction that the seat belt is engaged, for the upper side section of a center pillar, and thereby enabling it to be rotated downward and forward while being interlocked with the forward fall-down and the advancement of a front seat back. CONSTITUTION:A belt arm 4 which can be freely rotated forward and backward, and is held at a position projected forward, is provided for the upper side section of a center pillar 1. A seat belt 7 extracted from a retractor 6 is inserted into the end of the belt arm so that it is fitted onto the base section of the center pillar 1, and a tongue which is engaged with/disengaged from a buckle, is fitted thereon. In addition, the belt arm 4 is made to be capable of being moved while it encloses the lower side thereof by means of pulling the inner wire 12 out of an interlocking means (Bowden cable) 11. By this constitution, since the belt arm 4 is normally protruded forward, one who is seated on a front seat 14 can take the seat belt 2 out with ease. A space for getting on/off a car can thereby be secured because the belt arm 4 is rotated downward accompanied with the forward fall-down of the front seat 15 in case of getting on/off a rear seat. |
