PURPOSE:To improve customer services during unattended operation and thereby realize manpower saving by reproducing a registered seal image in a column where a registered seal is stamped, then printing a serial number in a specified column of a new passbook and notifying a host computer of this printed serial number. CONSTITUTION:A transaction processing section 12 communicates with a host computer to take necessary procedures for transaction processing based on a passbook and information supplied by an input section 11. An image data preparation section 21 recognizes a registered seal image on a currently used passbook which is transmitted from the input section 11, and prepares image data of the seal image. A seal image reproduction section 22 receives a new passbook from an unused passbook storage section 24 which stores unused passbooks and reproduces the seal image of the image data obtained from the image data preparation section 21 in the column for stamping a registered seal for the new passbook. A number control section 23 prints a new serial number adopted in accordance with preregistered rules in the new passbook with the seal image reproduced by the seal image reproduction section 22, then notifies the host computer of this serial number through the transaction processing section 12 and sends the new passbook to the input section 11. |
