The Cr-base alloy is for furnace parts operating at temps. over 1000 degrees C in S contg. atmos. The alloy has the compn. 15-50% Fe, 0.2-2% Si, and stoichiometric amounts of elements Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta which form silicides, and contains up to 2% rare earth metals and/or Y, and 2.5% Al balance Cr. It is solution hardened at 1000-1350 degrees C. |
