Process and device for producing a shell construction having a single or double-curved surface, for example a mould or the hull of a boat, made from ductile material. In order to simplify the production of such shell constructions, use is made of surface elements 10;1,2 which are arranged in mutually intersecting rows and which are adjusted such that the surface elements forming part of each row form a line of predetermined length between two fixed points 3,4, whereby the surface elements 10;1,2, following the adjustment, together represent the intended surface shape of the shell construction and constitute support for the material to be moulded, the ductile material, after it is applied being pressed against the surface elements 10;1,2 so as to assume the surface shape determined by the surface elements 10;1,2. <IMAGE> |
