<p>PURPOSE:To increase the treating capacity over the entire part by providing a sprinkling filter bed in the flow rate regulating tank, a sprinkling device in the upper part in the tank and an air diffuser in the lower part and adopting the constitution consisting in returning and supplying inflow waste water together with the overflow water of a measuring tank to the sprinkling device. CONSTITUTION:The return water from the measuring tank 8 is sprinkled together with the inflow waste water from the sprinklinq device 4 to the sprinkling filter bed 2 provided by utilizing the upper space of the flow rate regulating tank 1 so that the contaminants in the waste water are oxidation-decomposed by the effect of the aerobic microorganisms propagating in the filter bed 2. The oxygen necessary for the activity of the microorganisms is sufficiently supplied by the bubbles supplied from the air diffuser 5 provided by utilizing the lower space of the tank to efficiently clean the waste water by the vigorous activity of the microorganisms. The water sprinkled from the sprinkling device 4 can be sprinkled to the sprinkling filter bed 2 by the constitution to supply the return water from the measuring tank 8 together with the inflow waste water even if there is no inflow of the waste water. The filter bed 2 is thus maintained always in the wet state suitable for the activity of the microorganisms.</p> |
