<p>PURPOSE:To improve the handleability of the waste expanded polystyrene by providing a stage for supplying raw material, a stage for crushing and feeding the waste and a stage for heating and melting the waste. CONSTITUTION:The waste expanded polystyrene is supplied from a supply port 11, water is charged from a supply pipe 10, and the mixture is supplied to two-shaft screw devices 4 and 4'. The mixture is then forced into a narrow clearance C between the pressing bodies 6 and 6 and liners 13, strongly compressed, crushed by the beating action of skew grooves 63, 63', 13a and 13a' caused by rotation, and self-heated. The waste absorbs frictional heat and melts, and the sticked water is evaporated. The waste is then forced through the tapered holes 81,... of the perforated plate 8 by the second twin screw devices 7 and 7', strongly compressed and discharged as a linear solid 9. Consequently, transportation efficiency is increased, and reclamation efficiency is drastically improved.</p> |
