<p>Brightening is carried out with peroxide bleaching soln. containing 0.5-2.0, pref. 0.5-1.0 wt.% Na2SiO3 (as aqs. 40 degrees Be soln.), 0.05-0.40, pref. 0.1-0.2% diethylene triamine penacetic acid in form of alkali salt and 1.0-4.0% Na2O2 and/or equiv. amounts of H2O2 and NaOH. This gives improved bleaching and/or lower H2O2 and Na2SiO3 consumption. Fibre and filler retention are better, draining rate higher and effectiveness with cationic high-mol. auxiliaries, e.g. polyethylene-imine derivatives, much greater.</p> |
