The invention relates to an alkaline accumulator. The invention provides an accumulator comprising one electrode consisting of an iron electrode and the positive electrode including metal hydroxides as the active electrochemical substance, the positive electrode consisting of the iron electrode and its active electrochemical substance consisting of hydroxides of iron in the +III degree of oxidation which have been manufactured by hydrolysis of iron (III) salts carried out whilst maintaining constant specific pH values lying within the range of 1 to 13, the constant values being maintained within +/-0.05 pH units. |
