On the surface to be paved is placed a mortar (cement) or uniform layer of concrete, a sheet of rigid and deformable material, such as polyethylene or the like, then being placed over the upper surface of said paving, whilst, as a later step, a frame of iron flange tiles (flats) or the like, placed on edge, is positioned over the assembly thus formed, leaving between them their corresponding hollows, pressure being applied to the assembly, with the aim of leaving the aforesaid flange tiles marked on the paving, whilst the polyethylene softens (smooths) the slots and the concrete material which remains in the hollows of the flange tiles and then both the frame of flange tiles and the sheet of polyethylene material are removed in order to be shifted to another part of the paving, said paving being allowed to dry and being formed. In appearance, the paving is similar to cobbles (setts) as the surface faces of the cobbles are defined between the hollows of the frame of flange tiles. <IMAGE>
