This follower device for a reader module for reading the outline of the frames and rims of glasses, consists of a mobile slide on a support base and carrying a feeler which can be located in two positions intended to follow the outline of rims and frames respectively, the slide of which is stressed by a traction speed held between two terminals each of which can be anchored on tilting sectors mounted on guide supports on the support base. By means of this device it is feasible to follow directly the outside of the frames and the inside of the mounting rims. <IMAGE>
