Improvements to magnetothermic switches which consist in the existence of a trigger 11 formed by two elongate pieces 19 and 22 which support the movable contact 5, the rear piece having a compression spring and a front extension 13 which locks above with a cam 29 which is connected to the manual actuation lever 7. The front piece of the trigger 19 has, in a lower extension, a horizontal recess 32 into which is inserted the rear extension 33 of a vertical laminar piece 34 provided, on its surface, with two zones, a red zone and a green zone, which are visible from the exterior via openings 35 which the surrounding casing 1 has in this zone. This trigger makes it possible, from the exterior, to check the position of the magnetothermic switch. <IMAGE>
