Technical object The object is to provide an entry aid for wheelchair drivers which occupies little space, particularly in its vertical extent. Achievement of the technical object In order to surmount the entry height (h) from the level of the road or kerb (2) to the height of the aisle (1), a lifting/lowering device (6) is provided having a parallelogram connecting rod gear (4) of low overall height (a) and minimal projection (b), and the parallelogram connecting rod gear (4) is driven by a cylinder (3) which is subjected to the action of a fluid and is connected to the omnibus in a stationary but pivotable manner.
