The present invention relates to methods and devices for wet submarine submersion and retrieval using a light craft. The device essentially comprises means for attaching and detaching the submarine 1 to the craft in order to execute its mission, means 9 for purging the flotation chambers 6 of gases, means 14 for making the heat engine 37 watertight and isolating it from the ambient medium during submersion, means 12 and 13 for stabilising the craft during the descent on the bottom and means for stabilising it during the reascent, means 35 for filling the said chambers 6 for retrieval, which craft 5 is separated from the wet submarine 1 and remains immobilised on the bottom throughout the autonomous mission of this submarine and makes it possible to execute the phases of approach and remote withdrawal at the surface and rapidly. <IMAGE>
