Multi-purpose aiming device for a sliding total knee prosthesis, consisting of a central body 1 having two lower tabs 2, 3 and, at its upper part, laterally, two symmetrical supports 4, 5 bearing screw jacks, the rods of which hold at their free end a shaped blade 20, while each rod integral with an operating knob 1b screwing into the body of the jack 10 permits displacement of the shaped blades 20, then, after removal of the bracket 21, the positioning of a support 35 which is carried out in the same way as for the bracket 21, this main support comprising a longitudinally adjustable support 50 holding a cutting table 51 equipped with a locking screw 54 permitting the horizontal setting of this table. <IMAGE>
