A NEW PROCESS FOR TRANSFORMING ACREMONIUM CHRYSOGENUM

This invention describes the prepn. of plasmid-vectors which are capable of transforming Acremonicum chrysogenum and can be extd. from transformed cells. It also describes the use of vectors for transformations and isolation of vectors from transformed host cells. It is a characteristic of novel plasmid vectors, that they contain E-coli replicative origin, Acremonicum chryogenum mitochondria replicative origin, genetic codes (cmR, kmR) detectable in E-coli, as well as a genetic code (kmR) diagnosable in Acremonicum chrysogenum and that they are united for the transformation of both organisms.
