A panel made of a plastic is provided in particular for being used as a shower wall. The aim was to prevent reliably infection with fungi or colonisation by bacteria. It is proposed that the panel be provided with a thin coating on at least one external face, which coating contains a microbicidal active substance, in particular a fungicide and/or an antibacterial active substance. The plastic in the coating is slightly porous in such a way that on the one hand moisture can penetrate the coating and, on the other hand, minute amounts of microbicidal active substance can be transported to the surface during a drying phase. |
