<p>A laminated foam-creped paper product and method of production thereof are disclosed. The laminated paper product exhibits increased wet strength and bulk and is highly absorbent, while also possessing cloth-like tactile properties. The foam layer is derived from an aqueous solution or dispersion of a film-forming material, and is caused to set soon after formation on the creped paper layer to prevent release of the crepe while minimizing penetration of the foam into the creped paper.</p> |
