For a computer-controlled telecommunications system with system-inherent and/or non-system-inherent terminal connections, a distributed arrangement of computers is proposed, the computer-controlled switching and control functions being distributed to the various computers. A computer is also allocated to the interfaces for connecting the non-system-inherent terminals.
