PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVES

There are described novel pyrimidine derivatives of formula : …… wherein R<1> is hydrogen or halo, R<2> is a branched alkyl or cycloalkyl group and Q is a group RO- where R is the residue of an alcohol ROH which forms insecticidally active ester with permethrin acid or cyhalothrin acid. The compounds are useful as acaricides and insecticides. There are also described novel compounds of formula I wherein Q is halo, hydroxy or lower alkyl which are useful as intermediates.
