PURPOSE:To prepare a resin compsn. which crystallizes rapidly and can provide a molded article excellent in the dimensional stability, mechanical properties, and heat resistance at a high productivity by compounding an arom. polyester resin with a specific high mol.wt. paraffin. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. arom. polyester resin (pref. mainly comprising a polyethylene terephthalate resin) is compounded with 0.05 to 10 pts.wt. 40 to 100C paraffin or its oxygen-contg. deriv. [45 to 95C paraffin (wax) is pref.; and the pref. oxygen-contg. deriv. has the basic structure of said paraffin and contains oxygen as COOH, OH, or CO]. The addition of said paraffin or said deriv. results in a compsn. which crystallizes relatively rapidly. The resulting compsn., being easily introduced into a molding machine, can provide a molded article excellent in the dimensional stability, mechanical properties, and heat resistance in a short cycle time. |
