<p>Rotary switch-over couplings simultaneously permitting the connection of pipes to one another or to fixed members, and enabling the flow of the fluid to be brought about from one to the other, or to be interrupted by blocking off the upstream circuits and emptying the downstream circuits to the atmosphere. They consist of two elements 1 and 2 coupled together and capable of being driven manually in rotation with respect to each other about an axis XX, and of preserving the position given to them. An inlet channel 4 in the element 2, and an outlet channel 3 in the element 1, each equipped with an integrated coupling 66 and 55, open out in their respective adjacent faces on a same circle of radius XY. The bringing of these orifices into angular correspondence permits the two- directional passage of the fluid through the device in a leaktight manner by means of a seal 8 housed in a dish 7 at the periphery of the channel 4 and compressed between the two elements 1 and 2. In any other position of rotary indexing, the channel 4 is blocked by the seal 8 bearing in leaktight fashion on the smooth face 11 of the element 1, and the outlet channel 3 with no seal is connected to the atmosphere via a hole 9. The rotary switch-over coupling can comprise a plurality of inlets and outlets permitting various passage combinations. Applications to fluid technology. <IMAGE></p> |
