PURPOSE:To enable detection even though the difference between the ambient temperature and temperature of a human body is small by executing a fuzzy inference using an output of an infrared detector section after the detection of the human body, the ambient temperature and a time interval after the detection of the human body as input to control an amplifying section corresponding to the result of inference. CONSTITUTION:An ambient temperature is detected with a temperature sensor 5 and when a human body detection signal is outputted with a comparing section 4, a timer 7 starts to count time. After the detection of a human body, an output of an infrared detection section 1 is inputted into a fuzzy inference section 8 through a gate circuit 6 and the ambient time and an elapsed time after the detection of the human body are inputted thereinto. When the ambient temperature is close to a temperature of the human body (36 deg.C), the inference section 8 outputs the results of estimation to the amplifying section 2 referring to a rule stored in a fuzzy rule memory. According to this output, an amplification factor of the amplifying section is multiplied about six times as much as the normal time. Likewise, the inference section 8 outputs a signal to heighten the amplification factor of the amplifying section 2 according to an elapsed time after the detection of the human body. Thus, an output of the detecting section 1, though small, is inputted into a comparing section 4 being amplified sufficiently with the amplifying section 2 thereby enabling securing of a human body detection signal.
|
