<p>Used computer printer, W.P. or typewriter ribbons are reinked using a machine having a ribbon spool or cartridge (116) loading station, an ink applicator (108) and opto-electric sensors (112) disposed one each side of the applicator along the ribbon path. Manual or automatic control in response to the sensor output signals representative of the density of ink (darkness), enables the application of a quantity of ink sufficient to produce a desired ink density along substantially the entire length of the ribbon (120).</p> |
