PURPOSE:To perform normal decoding without an influence of data of past received communication texts by initializing a code just before actual data in each communication unit (communication text) of asynchronous communication. CONSTITUTION:A CMI encoder provided in a communication equipment on the transmission side consists of flip flop circuits 1, 2, and 5, a memory 3, and a selector 4, and a code 10 which is not used for CMI encoding is added as a reset code just before actual data. Before the start of actual data of each asynchronous transmission signal, the order of encoding of following bit data having a prescribed value is initialized in accordance with addition of the reset code on the transmission side and by detection of the reset code on the reception side. Thus, normal decoding is performed without an influence of the value of the code for data of past asynchronous communication units or detection results of the value of synchronizing bits of the communication unit received at present. |
