PURPOSE:To provide a hair-culturing agent useful for treating and preventing alopecia such as man type alopecia or alopecia areata by containing the serum of an animal after epilated. CONSTITUTION:The hair of an animal such as rabbit, dog or cattle in an area of >=5%, preferably >=30%, of the body surface of the animal is epilated and the blood of the animal is subsequently collected 3 to 30 days later, preferably 5 to 15 days, after epilation. The serum is separated from the collected blood and subsequently compounded as an active ingredient to prepare a hair tonic. The hair-culturing agent is applied to the scalp of a man or administered systemically. |
