PURPOSE:To speed up the synthesization processing of two kinds of binary picture information by operating exclusive OR in the unit of a word size, and synthesizing the binary picture information. CONSTITUTION:A retrieving means 13 calculates the position of a segment area, whose leading part is started from a word boundary, equipped with the number of dots in a row direction equal with the word size and equipped with a part to be overlapped with a rectangular area. An exclusive OR means 14 operates OR for the unit of the word size to the binary picture information, which are included in the segment area on the first binary picture information to be calculated by the retrieving means 13, and data for which only the bit overlapped with the rectangular area of the segment area is made 1. For the logical operation result of a row, for which the logical operation results are not all '0', and the binary picture information of the correspondent row on the second binary picture information developing area, the exclusive OR operation is executed for the unit of the word size and the logical operation result is written to the correspondent row on the second binary picture information developing area. Thus, the binary picture information in the two rectangular areas are synthesized at high speed. |
