<p>A brake corrector, especially for a motor vehicle braking system, consists of a housing (1) with an inner recess divided by an annular seal (7) into two chambers (2, 3), the first of which is linked to a master cylinder circuit and the second to a braking motor. A piston (8) in the second chamber (3) forms an axially moving valve with the seal. The piston is of greater diameter than the seal, which forms the valve seat and is equipped with a pusher (9) which passes through the seal and the first chamber (2). The assembly formed by the annular seal and a partition (18) surrounding the piston is able to move axially, and the second chamber also contains an elastic element such as a spiral spring (6) between the partition and the base of the recess. The annular seal has a degree of elasticity which allows its outer portion to move relative to its inner portion at ambient temperature.</p> |
