A pneumatic device for applying the upper end of a pantograph against the catenary wire with a suitable pressure in which the air-cushion (4) comprises a small rod (32) inside the airtight chamber (28) formed by the two flanges (21, 22) and the rubber bellows (23) compelling the movable flange (22) to a translation reproducible depending on the air pressure in the chamber (28). Via the two arms (34) acting on two slings (38) and two cams (39), this translation is converted into the rotation of the spindle (7) of the lower arm (8) of the pantograph. Application to obtaining a substantially constant pressure of the pantograph against the catenary wire regardless of environmentally-linked disturbances (variations in the vertical distance between the catenary and the track, etc.). |
