PURPOSE:To simplify the apparatus by using a wide band type ultrasonic probe as an ultrasonic probe. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic probe 3 is provided above a steel pipe 2 which is transported while a bead part 1 is directed upward. The probe 3 is held by a holder 4 and the holder 4 is constituted freely movable in the direction orthogonal with the bead part 1. The wide band type probe is used as the probe 3. The apparatus is simplified by using the wide band type ultrasonic probe in this way; in addition, the measurement of the inside surface beads with high accuracy is possible. |
