PURPOSE:To manufacture a seat back pad having a hard flange part with monolithic foam molding, by making use of a molding tool constituted of a bottom, top and intermediate forces which are in specific constitution each. CONSTITUTION:A foam polyurethane stock solution for forming a back pad part 3 and hard flange part 8 is cast into a cavity to be formed of the central part 1a of a bottom force 1, the inside of a top force 6 and an intermediate force 7 respectively through a main and casting heads 5, 9 under a state where the top force 6 is released in a developed state by about 170 deg. to the bottom force 1. Then mold clamping is performed on the way of foaming and molding is completed by a heating furnace. The intermediate force 7 is fixed to the top force through the whole process of the molding. When the top force is released after completion of the molding, the whole of a molded product held by the intermediate force at the hard flange part 8 can be taken out of the bottom force. When the hard flange part is removed from the intermediate force, the final product is obtained. In addition, a clamping device 11a is consti tuted so that when the clamping device 11a is slackened the intermediate force is movable in a separating direction from the inside of the top force. |
