<p>PURPOSE:To simplify attaching work on a slip ring, by utilizing a cylindrical magnet to attain the slip ring to the body of a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:The bottom of a boss cover 6 is provided with an annular groove 7, in which a slip ring 16 is fitted. Projections 9 are provided on the inside circumferential surface of a wall 8 surrounding the groove 7. Signal cancelers 15 are provided on the outside circumferential surface of a cylindrical portion 14. The bottom of the slip ring 16 is attracted on a cylindrical magnet 19 so that the slip ring is pushed and fitted into the groove 7 as the projections 9 and notches 17 are made coincident with each other. The magnet 19 is then operated to turn the slip ring 16 by a prescribed angle to engage the slip ring on engaging steps to hold the ring. The magnet 19 is thereafter separated from the slip ring 16.</p> |
