PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to use a handrail-like frame body by arranging weight sensors for detecting the weight of a passing object on the floor part of a passage and deciding an adult or child passing the passage in accordance with the detected weight. CONSTITUTION:The weight sensors 21 to 29 are arranged on the floor part of the passage to detect the weight of a person passing the passage and a weight comparing means compares the detection values of the sensors 21 to 29 with a reference value to decide an adult/child. Namely, a threshold for discriminating an adult from a child is set up as the reference value, and when weight heavier than the reference value is detected, the person is regarded as an adult, and at the time of detecting the weight lighter than the reference value, the person is regarded as a child. Since it is unnecessary to decide an adult or child in accordance with the height, the handrail-like frame body can be omitted. |
