PURPOSE:To obtain a secondary battery having the high mechanical strength of negative electrode thereof and the fine performance by forming a battery with a positive electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte and a negative electrode made of the compound material obtained by adding the carbon material to the alloy of sodium and lead and mixing them at the temperature more than the melting point of the alloy. CONSTITUTION:The carbon material is added to the alloy of sodium and lead to be mixed and dissolved at the temperature more than the melting point of the alloy and the carbon material is dispersed inside to be alloyed. Next, this alloy is crushed and the binding agent is added thereto to form a negative electrode 6 in pellet. On the other hand, the compound of Na and CoO2 is formed in pellet to be a positive electrode 1, and a secondary battery is formed with the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 6 and the nonaqueous electrolyte in which sodium salt is dissolved. The secondary battery having the high mechanical strength of the negative electrode and the fine performance can be thus obtained. |
