An inhalation-actuable dispensing device for dispensing a metered dose of medicament in aerosol form comprises a compartment (6) for receiving an aerosol container (10) having an outlet tube (12) at one end and a storage chamber (IS) which on actuation of a lever 50 receives a metered dose from the container and has an outlet valve (44) which is held closed under the pressure of the dose within the storage chamber but opened by inhalation of a user causing a dose releasing device (24, 40, 46) to move the valve member to an open position. In an alternative, (Fig 3, not shown) a valve member (124) is withdrawn from a valve seat (122) by the attraction of a magnet (139) which is displaced in response to inhalation. <IMAGE> |
