PURPOSE:To enable to always readily prepare a bean-mixed cooked rice by boiling the beans containing water absorbed in a saturated state, drying the boiled beans, mixing the dried beans with polished rice and subsequently packaging the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Beans (e.g. adzuki beans, soybeans, kidney beans or cowpea beans) containing water absorbed in a saturated state is boiled, dried and subsequently compounded in an appropriate amount with polished rice to provide a dried bean-compounded rice. The beans are preferably compounded in a compounding rate of approximately 10-20% based on the polished rice. The dried boiled beans of adzuki are compounded with non-glutinous rice and boiled to give an adzuki rice, and the dried boiled beans of cowpea are compounded with glutinous rice and boiled to give a red rice. The compounding method includes a method wherein the dried boiled beans are directly compounded with the polished rice and a method wherein the dried beans are separately packaged or attached to the packaging bag of the polished rice. When the dried boiled beans are directly compounded with the polished rice, the mixture is boiled as such. When the dried boiled beans are simultaneously packaged in the packaging bag of the polished rice and when the dried boiled beans are attached to the outside of the packaging bag of the polished rice, the amount of the dried boiled beans is suitably adjusted, followed by compounding the dried boiled beans with the polished rice and subsequently cooking the mixture. |
