NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (X is N or C; R1 is H, alkyl, halogen or mercapto; R2 and R3 are H or amino with a proviso that omitting the case R1 is Cl or H and R2 and R3 are H). EXAMPLE:2-amino-6-chloropurine-9-beta-D-2',3'-dideoxyribofranoside. USE:Antiretrovirus agent or preventive and remedy of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. PREPARATION:An aqueous solution containing a purine compound expressed by formula II [A is H, ribofranosyl or 5'-phosphoric acid-(deoxy)ribofranosyl; R1 to R3 are H, hydroxyl group, amino, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy or mercapto] and 2',3'-dideoxycytidine, 2',3'-dideoxyuridine or 3'-deoxythymidine is heated at 45-55 deg.C. Then, an aqueous suspension containing microorganism of Escherichia, Klebsielia or Erwinia and phosphoric acid (salt) heated at 45-55 deg.C is added to the aqueous solution and reacted at pH7.5-9.0. |
