PURPOSE:To reproduce a disk in which data is recorded without applying a modulation by detecting a pit from bit information and an amplitude pattern of a reproducing signal of a pit shifted and recorded in the diameter direction against the track center. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing signal read by an optical pickup from an optical disk is inputted to a terminal 1 and sent to an amplitude pattern detecting function block 70 and a bit information pattern detecting function block 71. In the block 70, each amplitude data of a reproducing signal waveform is fetched and compared, and when the waveform is a prescribed amplitude pattern, a detecting signal is sent to a pit pattern discriminating function block 72. Simultaneously, in the block 71, bit information is fetched and compared with a bit information pattern of a servo-byte, a detecting signal is sent to the block 72. When both the detecting signals are supplied, the block 72 discriminates them to be a pit pattern of a servo-byte. |
