PURPOSE:To provide a screen having a large holding force and excellent durability, by a method wherein one side of a fabric woven from yarn blanks spun from long fibers is subjected to raising. CONSTITUTION:The screen 13 which is fitted over the surface of a drum 10 in a stencil duplicator so as to fit a stencil 14 to the outer surface thereof consists of the fabric 1 woven from yarn blanks spun from long chemical fibers such as polyester fibers. One side of the woven fabric 1 is raised by stainless steel wires or the like. Since the fluffs 3... provided by the raising are not oriented and are provided only on the side to which the stencil 14 is fitted, a large holding force for the stencil can be obtained without reducing the area of spaces constituting the mesh 4... of the screen (woven fabric). Accordingly, a screen for a stencil duplicator can be provided which ensures favorable printing and has a large stencil-holding force and excellent durability. |
