PURPOSE:To improve cutting ability, etc., of a rotary cutter and facilitate change of used knives by equipping a pair of rotary cutters piled up and down so that the cutters may be capable of reciprocating-rotation round a rotary shaft in the mutually opposite directions and so that the position of the rotation may be able to be controlled around the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:An upper disk cutter 5 and a lower disk cutter 7, respectively equipped with knives 1 and 3 on the outer periphery thereof are piled up and down and supported to a transmission case 9 using a shaft so that the cutters may be capable of reciprocating-rotation round a rotary shaft 41 in the mutually opposite directions. Further the upper cutter 5 and the lower cutter 7 are fixed so that the cutters may be rotated round the rotary shaft 41 while keeping the correlative position of mutual reciprocating-rotation and so that the position of rotation may be controlled. Thereby, the cutters 5 and 7 are prevented from high-speed rotation and accordingly even soft weeds can be cut without danger of spattering small stones, etc. In addition, e.g. in case the knives 1 and 3 facing to the front cutting position are wore out, another knife can be used by rotating the cutters in order and changing the worn knife with another knife one after another towards the front cutting position.
