PURPOSE:To reduce cost of installation and to extremely decrease the unit cost of vegetables cultivated in a plant culture device by combining a main body of given device to store plants, a culture bed, a light irradiation device and an air conditioner to carry out a specific action. CONSTITUTION:Plants 2 to be cultivated are placed on a culture bed 12 in a main body 11 of device in a coincident state of a partition plate 18 and a partition wall 20 in the main body 11 of device. When a required amount of the plants 2 is placed, fluorescent tubes 4 are operated to supply light rays necessary for photosynthesis of the plants 2. In the operation, a culture chamber equipped with the fluorescent tubes 4 is made into a light chamber by operating the fluorescent tubes 4 and a culture chamber with no fluorescent tubes 4 is set in a dark chamber. Then as light rays are irradiated by the fluorescent tubes 4, a drive motor 21 of travel mechanism S is operated after 12 hours, the culture bed 12 placing the plants 2 and a partition plate 18 are rotated by 180 deg.. These operations are repeated every 12 hours to culture the plants 2. When temperature in the main body 11 of device is raised by irradiation of the fluorescent tubes 4, ducts equipped in the main body 11 of device are operated. |
