PURPOSE:To provide a flame-retardant or incombustible working fluid composed of a specific chloropentafluoropropane and a specific dichlorofluoroethane and having extremely low ozonosphere-destruction property, low solubility to polymeric compounds and excellent coefficient of performance. CONSTITUTION:The objective working fluid is composed of (A) 99-35% (preferably 99-45%) of 1-chloro-1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane and/or 3-chloro-1,1,1,2,2- pentafluoropropane and (B) 1-65% (preferably 1-55%) of 1,1-dichloro-1- fluoroethane.
