PURPOSE:To obtain a clear image without generating density nonuniformity and fogging even when the image is formed on large-sized sheet paper by providing a controller which connects a switch to a direct current power source when forming the image and that connects the switch to an alternating current power source after the images are continuously formed until the subsequent image starts to be formed. CONSTITUTION:While a photosensitive body 10, which possesses a toner image, reaches a transfer part, the sheet paper is supplied to the transfer part in synchronization with the toner image. At this time, the switch 20a is connected with the direct current power source 20b by means of the controller which controls an image forming device and a transfer charger 21 gives positive charges from the back plane of the sheet paper. Thus, the toner image on the photosensitive body 10 is electrostatically attracted the the sheet paper and transferred. When all continuous copying is completed, another new copying starts next. At this time, the switch 20a is connected with the alternating current power source 20c. Therefore, the photosensitive body 10 is charged with the alternating charges by the transfer charger 21 and the remaining positive charges are destaticized while the photosensitive body 10 is revolved in the arrowed (x) direction. |
