The invention relates to a device for modifying the angle of an elevator or continuous-conveyor frame between its work position 1 and its transport position 2 with no other intervention than the movement itself. This device comprises an arm 3 extended by a spring, the two end supports of which are at 1, the fixed frame 6 and the return pulley 7 plus an articulation K and a ratchet L. The geometry of this assembly ensures simultaneously assistance to the operator through the compensation in the two movements, the ideal, strong and weak tension at the two positions of the frame 1 and 2 of the movable element 4, the automatic locking in position 1 or 2 and the absence of operating accessories in the articulation in position 1. This differential tension device is particularly valued for articulated elevators or conveyors operated by non-qualified personnel. <IMAGE>
