The present invention relates to a barking tool for barking machines of the rotation ring type and of the type which incorporates a plurality of such barking tools 1, which can be placed resiliently against the peripheral surface of an unbarked log, comprising a swivel arm 5 which, at its free front end, has a seat 8 for a bark- machining member 6, which can be detachably mounted by means of a bolt connection 7 and has a front edge 10 serving as a machining blade. The barking tool further comprises a separate, exchangeable edge element 9, which is disposed in the front part of the swivel arm 5 and faces the direction of feed, the edge element being first to be hit by a log coming up against the barking tool. <IMAGE> |
